(Bloomberg) — U.S. Treasury staff and their counterparts from China held the first meeting of a new working group dedicated to discussing economic topics, yet another small sign of improving ties between the two powers.
“The delegations met virtually for two hours and had a productive and substantive discussion on topics including domestic and global macroeconomic developments,” the Treasury Department said in a statement following the session, held by video conference on Monday evening in the U.S. and Tuesday morning in Beijing.
