    China launched the Shenzhou-12 spacecraft into orbit at 9:22 a.m. Thursday from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the Gobi Desert in northern China. Astronauts Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming, and Tang Hongbo will build Tiangong, a space station placed in low Earth orbit, for three months. It’s the country’s seventh crewed mission into space since 2003.
