On Dec. 15, four cases without symptoms were found during a regular virus test in the city, which hadn’t seen a new case since August. Over the past week or so, the city has recorded six confirmed cases and 20 locally transmitted asymptomatic cases

- Lao Rongzhi, a 46-year-old woman who stands accused of murdering seven people, went on trial Monday in Nanchang Intermediate People’s Court in East China’s Jiangxi province. Lao is suspected of conspiring with her ex-boyfriend to kill the seven people in the 1990s, including a 3-year-old child. Her ex-boyfriend was executed for the crimes in 1999. Lao had spent 20 years on the run before police caught her last year

Hordes of customers mobbed the cafe over the weekend to have the experience of getting coffee served by a furry bear claw through a hole in the wall. The coffee shop’s baristas are two hearing-impaired people. Hinichijou’s founder said the initial purpose of the cafe was to employ disabled people who have trouble getting work
